Medical Professional Law

Questions of medical professional law play a particularly important role in the area of forms of medical cooperation (e.g. professional practice and organisational communities, cooperation with non-physician service providers in medical cooperation communities, kickback payments or referrals in return for payment). This is regularly related to competition law and, since the Act to Combat Corruption in the Healthcare Sector came into force, also to criminal law and, where applicable, licensing law. However, professional law also applies to other issues such as further training, advertising, documentation and medical confidentiality. We represent doctors in all proceedings relating to alleged breaches of professional law (complaint proceedings with the competent medical association, professional tribunal proceedings, revocation or suspension of licence to practise).
